For stark, raw, overwhelming landscapes, I love to photograph in the Southwest, and the most beauty per square inch is in Northern Arizona and Southern Utah. That wide strip includes the Grand Canyon, Zion Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, Arches, Canyonlands, Monument Valley and many slot canyons scattered around the area.
